Casco Viejo Panama
Panama Casco Antiguo
Real Estate For Sale, For Rent
At Panama´s Cultural heart.

Anyone strolling the streets of Panama will find the famous "Diablo Rojos": public buses running around like true devils of the road. However extreme their driving might be, the bus itself is a work of art that reflects the playfulness of each owner.

Today I saw a good article about one of these "ghetto artists" who has had more than 20 years painting buses. His name is Oscar Melgar and is showing this week photos of his work at Diablo Rosso, Casco Viejo´s art gallery.

Fitting enough for Casco! it is right on our alley...  From Michael Jackson to Vivian Torrijos, some are quite accurate, but some are really hilarious. Some of them paint their family and kids, most likely the normal Diablo Rojo is a blend of dreams, fantasies and almost the open love life of the owner. Yes, every window has a girl´s name on it, and they are not just random names that start with unpronounceble combinations of consonats including a los of "Y" "K" and "S".

Check La Prensa´s full article here... and don´t miss the art show!
