Panama Casco Viejo
Casco Antiguo Panama
Real Estate For Sale For Rent

Sunday morning, 7:30 a.m. we get ready to go to Gamboa, a town about 20 to 30 minutes away from Casco Viejo where we can get a boat to explore the Panama Canal. By 8 a.m. we are on it, side by side with the Cayuco race teams who are trainning for their ocean to ocean challenge later in the year.

I have to say, I worked at the Smithsonian and once of the things I never got tired of was visiting the Panama Canal. Nothing like navigating through pure jungle, checking out the monkeys (cariblancos, titis, howlers), the crocodriles, the birds and of course, the huge Panamax ships. At the end of our trip, we had the best frozen beer at a hidden Cantina at La Reserva at one of the towns bordering the protected area.  I´m glad to share these photos, but I´ll tell you, they don´t convey the beauty and greatness of this impressive  and live green emerald.

By 1 p.m. we where back in Casco Viejo, getting ready for a Christmas party that one of the neighbors organized for the community. Non Stop Casco!
