Real Estate at Panama´s Historic City

After a long absence, Air France - KLM celebrated on March 30th it´s first "comeback" anniversary. During this time, according to a note from La Prensa, the French-Dutch airline flew over 130,000 passengers to the region. Destinations included Costa Rica, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Colombia, and of course Panama.

It seems that there is a common interest through these countries to join forces to attract tourism. Several Central American countries will participate in an encounter of Ministers of Tourism in Panama to approve a Strategic Plan to develop Sustainable Tourism for the years 2009-2013.  The idea would be to offer the region as a destination, offering in a single package the wide variety that Centralamerica has to offer.  While this might sound interesting, it might also be very challenging. Panama is very different from it´s neighbors, culturally and geographically. Being more Caribbean than Central Americans we might bring a different flavor to the mix. But maybe this is the right time for interesting challenges, if the region wants to really make it into the tourism international map it might be easier to invest together to attract attention than through separate efforts.
