One of the things I enjoy living here is that I can choose from a range of activities. Casco Antiguo is a step away from the countryside, which we call the "interior" (not really sure why....). We are also so close to the Canal Zone, that hiking primary jungle is possible within 15 minutes. Fishing at the lake, kayak around, so many things you can do! Trying to look for a place that posted these activities, I found some groups that regularly organize them. They are mainly friends and friends of friends, or just people with love for nature. Long ago, I went hiking (almost 6 hours) throughout our mountains, from Sora to El Valle. It was the most wonderful, memorable trip I´ve ever done. I didn´t know anyone, just "showed up" and it was fantastic.  So try it out!

Rappel at Calzada Larga:
