Last night there was a wonderful event at the old Club Union, organized by Casco Viejo artists and residents "Cartooch" (Cristine and Dom).  They turned it into a big skating park, everyone with a skateboard would enter free.  All the funds gathered will go to an association that is lobbying for a skate park in Panama City, mainly at Parque Omar in San Francisco. 

From some time now, skaters have gathered in Casco Viejo, near Plaza Francia. Inspired by the event, we sent a suggestion to the Oficina del Casco Antiguo about doing a smaller version here (we already have an ideal spot) which would be great for the community. Kids here are really into it, and keeps them out of trouble. Plus, it is great excercise!
