All dressed in white as a symbol of peace, representatives of civic groups, NGOs and institutions, like ordinary citizens, accompanied by bands of college, said yes to the call made by the humanist movement.

Guillermo Sullings Argentina spokesman of this movement, has come to Panama to participate in this march and said that it started on October 2 in New Zealand in commemoration of the birth of Mahatma Ghandi. This date was declared by the United Nations as the "International Day of Nonviolence".

"This is a call of conscience to all States and for people to stop wars,

dismantle nuclear weapons and eradicate violence"
