Panama Casco Viejo
Casco Antiguo Panama
Real Estate For Sale, For Rent
At Panama´s Historic City

Panama has had a looooongggg relationship with the Chinese comunity. Recently, they celebrated the 150th anniversary of the chinese colony in Panama, basically 50 years more (aprox) than the republic itself. They are everywhere and in everything, a big motor of the economy. But probably the best part of the relationship between Panamanians and Chinese is Dim Sum. We love Dim Sum (Desayuno Chino).  Old restaurants like Lung Fung and new ones like Golden Unicorn at the Evergreen Building are packed every Sunday with people from everywhere in the city.

Hummm..... it is an affair that takes a couple of hours, so plan on getting up really early (otherwise, you´ll have to do a line...) 8 a.m. is a good hour for this.  It is probably the closest thing Panama has to "brunch". You can linger there until lunchtime, between hampaos and jasmine tea.

I personally like the Golden Unicorn, 15 minutes away from Casco Viejo on Sundays. The service is fast, and the quality is very good. But go early! especially if pay- day weekend.

Casco Viejo itself is home to the original China Town in Panama. It has very interesting shops, but it is yet to be restored. I heard the Chinese community is getting together to move on it... looking forward to the results!
