With at least four catholic churches, within 15 streets and 3 avenues, Casco Viejo has always some saint to celebrate. The first thing you hear is the music, while in other countries might be a ceremonial and very uptight ritual, here it comes banging drums and playing trumpets at the rythm of murga. Like a big itinerant party, the saint is carried through A avenue (and right in front of my office) all the way up to Calle 1era and then back to its specific church.

This week it was San Pancracio´s turn.  Many say he is the saint that will give you a good job and health.
