Panama, Casco Antiguo
Panama, Casco Viejo
Real Estate and Community at Panama's Historic District

With a golden summer sun shinning over its beautiful colonial buildings and brick streets, Casco Antiguo welcomes 2009 with a bag of good news: Panama's Jazz Festival is right around the corner (see calendar below, remember it is from the 12th to the 17th and more information at Danilo Pere's website), projects like Montefiori and Cuatro Casas are delivering units (an exciting new group of interesting neighbors is moving down. Italians, Dutch, Americans, Canadian and Latin Americans), new businesses have opened and are about to open (Havana Club restaurant, Tomato soup and salads between others) and the restoration of both hotel projects and other residential buildings are full steam ahead, as summer is the prime time to get things done.

And for those who don't really need to get anything done... it is the best time to enjoy!!!! beaches are so close (some even a few steps away, right in Casco Antiguo), breeze nights and beautiful days. We personally spent New Years at Panama's caribbean coast in Bocas del Toro. Very fun waves to surf, hipnotic blue water and good caribbean food at just an hour away flight from Casco Viejo. A group of friends from New York where with us. Now they'll go back to a freezing climate while .... I'm not!!!! at least they'll wear their sun tan with pride and tell stories about how in 4 days they stayed at a romantic colonial home and got to learn about Panama's history while walking around, went surfing the next day, saw dolphins at breakfast and drank some lethal cocktails at Carenero island to celebrate the fireworks. All I'll say about that is that the bottle of vodka was 1/3 chilli peppers.

Needless to say they are thinking to relocate to Panama!
