Netherland´s most celebrated artist, Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn (better known as Rembrandt) will visit Panama and will stay in Casco Viejo from April 17th to June 8th. But he isn´t the only Dutch in town...

The existance of different beaches is Casco´s most guarded secret. And people use them. A true beach lifestyle in the middle of an urban city.

A classic scene: tourist wants to go to Casco Viejo and asks a taxi driver to take him. The taxi says, oh no, it is dangerous. Don´t go there. Actually, ask most Panamanians and you are crazy to even consider living here. But somehow a miracle happens: the visitor (now really curious about the place) gets to Casco Viejo... and

For me, Santa Ana is a great place, full of life. Shops opening to the street, people everywhere, vegetable markets on the sidewalks and the great park full of people doing nothing or discussing politics, which is pretty much the same. I just came back from shopping and took these pictures. Enjoy!

With all the world’s climate issues, we would like to take this opportunity to get everyone thinking about a more sustainable Casco, an example to the rest of Panama City. The seeds are already getting planted... join us! there is a fun contest here, where you can really make the difference.

There are several, but this one is actually quite nice in the sense that it shows the neighborhood from a street level, not too polished, just as is.

Last night most of Panama´s socialites (or our version of it anyways) gathered in Paseo Las Bovedas, to the launch party of Quintessentially in Casco Antiguo. Don´t miss the photos, I´m sure they´ll be quite popular between some of our visitors...
